Below are some websites that contain free best practice and evidence-based guidelines.
- Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario- The purpose of this site is to support nurses by providing them with best practice guidelines for patient care. There are currently 50 published guidelines as well as a toolkit and educator's resource to support implementation.
- National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)(UK-based)- NICE, a special health authority serving the UK, makes evidence-based recommendations on a wide range of topics, from preventing and managing specific conditions, improving health and managing medicines in different settings, to providing social care to adults and children, and planning broader services and interventions to improve the health of communities.
- Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH)- CADTH is a non-profit agency in Canada which provides evidence-based reports on a variety of health-related topics.
- Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)- This U.S. government agency produces EPC Reports, comprehensive, science-based information on common costly medical conditions and new health care technologies and strategies.
