Rules for the Title Page:
  • The running head should start with the words "Running Head:" and then should be followed by up to the first 50 characters of your title in all capital letters. This includes spaces and punctuation.
  • The running header should be flush with the left and the page number should be flush with the right
  • Centered in the upper middle half of the page include:
    1. The title of your work (This is the only part that is allowed to take up two lines if necessary)
    2. Your name First, Middle Initial, then Last
    3. The name of your school
  • Remember to double space

Abstract:
  • Your Abstract, if required, should give a brief summary of the major points you make in your paper.
  • The word "Abstract" should be at the top of the page and centered.
  • Your abstract should be between 150 and 250 words.
  • ​After all text, insert a page break
  • Remember to double space

Formatting the Body of your Paper:
  • Centered on the first line of this page put the title of your paper with NO Bold, Italics, or Underline.
  • All paragraphs should be indented and there should be no empty lines between paragraphs
  • Remember to insert in text citations when using outside information in your work.
  • Remember to double space

Subtitles:
  • Any subtitle of your your paper, such as "Literature Review" in the example to the left, should be on its own line, centered, and Bold.

Conclusion:
  • Your conclusion should summarize the main points of your paper, and express any overarching connections, themes, or points you were trying to stress throughout your work.
  • Insert a page break after your conclusion
